We believe in cost certainty and transparency while discussing our fees. At the outset we will provide you with an assessment of your fees. There will be no hidden costs or surprises regarding our fees.

Where possible, we operate a fixed fee system and which will be agreed in advance before we take up your case. This is to provide you with certainty and it allows us to concentrate on your case for a successful outcome.

In some complex cases and we will discuss our fees on an hourly basis. In those cases we will provide a very clear estimate of costs and we will update you of the costs incurred throughout your case.

How much does motoring offence legal representation cost?

Penalty points speeding (guilty plea)

Between £1000 to £1200 for written representations by post

Totting up 12 penalty points (guilty plea, exceptional hardship)

Between £2500 and £3000

Speeding offences where there is a risk of disqualification (guilty plea)

Between £2500 and £3000

Drink and drug driving (guilty plea)

Between £2500 and £3000

Failing to provide a specimen (guilty plea)

Between £2500 and £3000

Drink driving/drug driving (not guilty)

Between £3500 and £5000

Failure to provide a specimen (not guilty)

Between £3500 and £5000

Disbursements
The fees specified above reflect our estimated professional costs and do not include disbursements that may arise throughout our engagement. Such disbursements could include, but are not limited to, court fees or expert fees recommended by counsel. If any substantial disbursements are anticipated, we will notify you before proceeding with these expenses. We reserve the right to require advance payment for disbursements.

These disbursements may include VAT at the current rate of 20%.

We offer a fixed fee estimate based on the anticipated hours of work at the beginning of a retainer for immigration cases, designed to benefit our clients. However, this estimate excludes disbursements. Please contact a representative from our office for further clarification.

Recovering your costs:

When we achieve the successful outcome in your case we will aim to recover your costs by way of a defendant cost order. A defendant cost order should be awarded unless there are clear reasons for not doing so. Once the court has issued defendant costs order we will prepare and submit the cost application on your behalf and we will agree in advance as to what proportion of your costs will be refunded to you.

We are aware that sometimes the cost of legal representation may not always affordable but we also believe that everyone should have access to high quality legal representation and legal justice.
